Any part of your body can be treated for Photo Rejuvenation. Your face can be treated in less than 30 minutes and you can return to your normal activities straight away. Typically, 3-4 treatments are recommended to clear your skin of pigmented lesions however you may just want a freshen up in which case just one treatment may be sufficient depending on the condition of your skin.

For pigmented lesions, the light is converted to heat and breaks up the lesion which will then darken and crust up and be naturally shed from the skin in approximately 10 days.

For Vascular lesions (spider veins) the heat shrinks the capillaries which may redden or turn grey after treatment. They will then fade from view in approximately 10 days.

Immediately after treatment you can expect a slight sun burn like feeling and slight reddening of the skin, however this usually subsides within about half an hour. For some this feeling may last a little longer but can be soothed with gels or ice packs if necessary.

It is advisable to complete your course of treatments at least 1 month prior to any special event that you may have coming up such as your wedding to allow enough time for any darkening of lesions to fade from view.

It is highly recommended that you use a 30+ sun screen to protect your skin at any time but especially post treatment as your skin will be more susceptible to sun burn. If you have had un-protected sun exposure, used tanning creams, tanning beds or solariums within 2 weeks prior to your treatment you MUST inform your treatment provide PRIOR to your treatment commencing.
